Haiku Poems - Form 2
Haiku poems are Japanese poems with a particular pattern based on the number of syllables per line. The poems always have three lines. The first line must have 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables and the third 5 syllables again.
The girls took the theme of winter and explored relevant vocabulary as well as counting the syllables within the words. They then had to put the words together based on the required syllable patterns – not easy!
