Wilmslow Prep School was recently transported to a whole new world as our talented Prep 3 and Prep 4 pupils took to the stage for their spectacular production of Aladdin. It was a resounding success, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and incredibly proud.
The children were simply outstanding. They delivered their lines with confidence and great expression, bringing their characters to life with heaps of enthusiasm. From the quick-witted Aladdin to the confident and independent Princess Jasmine, each role was performed with real personality. The charismatic Genie and bossy Widow Twanky brought energy and humour to the stage, while the villainous Abanazar was delightfully dramatic and commanding. Every child embraced their character, making the story engaging and full of fun. Their singing performances were equally impressive—full of energy, joy, and confidence—showcasing the incredible talent across the year groups.
A huge thank you must go to our dedicated staff—Miss Shaw, Mrs Prendergast, and Mrs Wolski—whose hard work, encouragement, and creativity made the production possible. Their support helped the children grow in confidence and truly shine on stage.
The production itself was a visual delight. The stage setup and backdrop created a vibrant and immersive setting, transporting the audience straight into the magical world of Agrabah. The costumes were colourful, imaginative, and perfectly suited to each character, adding an extra layer of excitement to the performance.
Above all, the play brought immense joy to everyone involved. From the excitement backstage to the smiles on stage and the delighted reactions from the audience, it was clear that this was a special experience for all.
Congratulations to our Prep 3 and 4 pupils for such a fantastic achievement—you should be incredibly proud. This production of Aladdin will be remembered as a magical highlight of the school year.
