This half term the children in Form 5 and 6 have been investigating mechanical systems (including pulleys and levers). Working collaboratively, the pupils designed and made fully working small scale fairground carousels
They explored and used a range of tools and equipment, including cutting and stripping wire and making secure electrical connections. They learnt the importance of precision, and used a range of decorative finishing techniques to ensure a well-finished final product that matched their original specification.
The children are extremely proud of their fairground carousels and shared their work in a recent celebration assembly. These will be on show during our Open Morning on 24th March, so be sure to come and have a look!
