Pupils and staff are celebrating yet another year of success for Prep 6 in their senior school examination results with 28 offers from 15 children sitting the exams.
The pupils sat examinations for a wide range of Manchester Consortium Schools including King’s School Macclesfield, Withington Girls’ School, Cheadle Hulme School, Stockport Grammar, Alderley Edge School for Girls, St Bede’s and The Grange.
Commenting on the results, Headteacher, Bradley Lavagna-Slater said, “As a non-selective school, the standard achieved by our pupils is impressive and shows that hard works pays off. Their success is richly deserved and we are very proud of them all.
“We are absolutely delighted for the children and their families, all of whom make a significant contribution to their child’s education.
“In congratulating the children, I would also like to express my thanks to our teaching staff who work incredibly hard to nurture each pupil to achieve their very best, and to all the parents who provide such important support to their children.
Wilmslow Prep prides itself on its rich academic and extra-curricular programme which sees pupils exploring drama, music, art and sports. They work closely with families to support them to select the senior school most appropriate for their child and it’s a formula that works.
Concluding, Mr Lavagna-Slater said, “School life at Wilmslow Preo is energetic and diverse; stretching the children as they progress through the School to Prep 6. Pupils leave us as well-rounded individuals who have the confidence to progress well in a senior school environment.
“I wish them all the very best for the future.”
