It’s official – our 2026 Prep 6 pupils are simply outstanding! 🌟 This year has been another remarkable one for Wilmslow Prep School, and we are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Prep 6 cohort. Their dedication, resilience and enthusiasm have shone through every step of the way, and the results speak for themselves.
Leading Secondary Schools
Our pupils applied to a wide range of Manchester Consortium and Trafford Grammar schools, and we are delighted to share that all 17 pupils received their choice of school. This includes prestigious destinations such as Manchester Grammar School, Manchester High School for Girls, Withington Girls’ School, Kings School Macclesfield, The Grange and Cheadle Hulme School. With an impressive 36 offers in total, this success reflects not only the pupils’ hard work but also the unwavering support and expertise of our teaching staff.

These achievements don’t happen by chance. They are the result of a carefully structured, nurturing and ambitious programme that begins long before pupils sit their entrance exams. From Prep 5 onwards, our teachers work closely with each child to build confidence, strengthen core skills and develop effective exam techniques. Small-group sessions, targeted practice and personalised feedback ensure that every pupil feels prepared, supported and ready to shine.
Interview preparation is also a key part of the journey. Our staff guide pupils through mock interviews, helping them articulate their ideas clearly, think critically and present themselves with confidence. These sessions not only prepare pupils for the demands of selective school interviews but also equip them with lifelong communication skills.
What makes their success even more impressive is that our pupils have achieved all of this while continuing to embrace the full life of the school. Alongside their academic preparation, they have thrown themselves into music, sport, drama and art. Thus demonstrating the well-rounded character that Wilmslow Prep School values so highly. As senior members of the school community, they have also taken on leadership roles, including serving proudly as School Ambassadors. Balancing these responsibilities with exam preparation is no small feat, and our pupils have done so with maturity and enthusiasm.
