Remembrance

During today’s Remembrance Assembly, Mrs Pierce explained the significance of Remembrance Day, and Mr Lavanga-Slater reminded the children why we hold the silence and spoke about the importance of remembering.

At 11am, the whole School joined residents of Canterbury Grange on Grove Avenue for the two minutes silence, which took place around our art installation.
Mrs Broome played the Last Post to start the silence and the Reveille to mark the end.

Some of the children then placed poppies they had made out of plastic bottles into the garden at the front of the School around our plaque, which is dedicated to Captain Sir Tom Moore.
