Since we closed our School due to the coronavirus pandemic, our staff are taking learning out of the classroom and into the children’s front rooms thanks to the use of modern technology.
The new way of virtual learning is also helping pupils connect with their peers and teachers.
Children of key workers are still attending school and are taking part in the same virtual online classes their peers at home are experiencing, so they are just as much as part of the new way of learning as everyone else.

Helen Rigby, Headteacher said: “The sense of continuity online teaching offers is invaluable for children who are used to going into school five days a week and seeing their friends and teachers, but aren’t able to do that now.
“We know that everyone is juggling resources and using different measures to cope with new routines of home working and virtual home-schooling.
“We are so proud of all our pupils, families and teachers for adapting so well to this new way of life in the current climate.
“We have continued to teach tailored lessons in small groups across many different curriculum areas to provide support for the parents and real learning for the children, and the feedback has been very positive.”
