Parent Survey

WPS is continually striving to develop and plan for the future, and as part of this, it is important to all Governors and staff here at Wilmslow Preparatory School that we are fully aware of parents’ opinions. For this reason, as well as the daily informal contact we have with parents, we regularly carry out full parental surveys. In order to ensure these surveys are completely unbiased, we use a respected consultancy company within the independent schools sector, to help us discover how parents feel about the School.

The most recent of these was undertaken in Summer 2016 and was the third survey we have conducted over the past eight years. Once again, the results confirmed what we at WPS already know, that this is a very special School.

In summarising the results the researchers said, “WPS is a warmly regarded school providing an excellent education. The School has continued to build on the positive findings recorded previously in the 2008 and 2010 surveys.”

“Parents particularly value the welcoming, supportive and nurturing approach of the School.”

“Many of the individual features of the School, across a wide range of aspects, are rated as ‘very good’ by a significantly higher proportion of parents than at other prep day schools we have previously tested.”

We were delighted that the proportion of parents who feel completely satisfied with the School is excellent and place WPS within the top 5 out of all the 49 prep day schools across the country tested previously in such parental surveys. Even more staggering is that, 18% of parents did not feel there were any aspects that required improvement which, according to the survey company, is unprecedented.

Despite these superb results, WPS never sits back on its laurels, and will continue to seek ways to further enhance the already excellent, overall educational experience WPS provides for our pupils.
