PE

Here at Wilmslow Preparatory School we have an excellent reputation for sporting success; our competitive achievements are only part of the picture. Our main focus is on teaching pupils a broad, balanced sports programme, which is tailored to each individual and prepares them for a lifelong involvement in sport and physical activity, promoting confidence, health and well-being.

All children have the opportunity to represent the School’s sports teams. They will play competitive football, netball, hockey, rounders, swimming and athletics.

We are members of the ISA and enter many of their regional and National events.

Whatever their ability, we want all pupils to enjoy their sport and be well coached. There is no greater joy for us than to see the girl or boy of modest talent score the winning goal or cross the line first in our Inter-house competitions – the look of pride on their face says it all, and will be a moment they remember forever.

For a smaller school, we have tremendous team spirit and can often win against schools much larger than ourselves. We teach the children to play for each other and to give their best and here at Wilmslow Preparatory they certainly do!
