Personal, Social, Health & Economic Education (PSHEE), Well-being & Citizenship

At WPS we aim to provide a PSHEE and Citizenship programme which will help support pupils through their physical, social, emotional and moral development while at the same time embracing the Every Child Matters agenda of being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.

We encourage our pupils to be more independent, more responsible members of society and to play a positive role in contributing to the life of the School and the wider community. In so doing we help develop their sense of self-worth.  We teach them how society is organised and governed.  We inform children both about their rights and about their responsibilities.

We integrate financial education into the School day across a wide range of curriculum areas and school events.   Pupils learn to appreciate what it means to be a positive member of a diverse and multicultural society.
